Help sell our Christmas cards
We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to sell our Christmas cards. Can you help?
We're a national guest charity of Cards for Good Causes
(CFGC), an non-profit-making initiative which runs pop-up
charity Christmas card shops across the UK every year.
We need volunteers each year in the run up to Christmas to work
in local Cards for Good Causes shops
where our charity cards are sold.
We are totally dependent on donations, and Christmas is an important time
for our fundraising.
All money raised in the sale of our cards will help our work to
find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's.
How much time do I need to give?
If you can dedicate one morning or afternoon a
week, for 6 to 8 weeks (or even just a one-off morning or
afternoon) to sell cards, then we'd love to hear from you.
What do I do?
Full training will be given to volunteers. Responsibilities
include:
- Operating a simple electronic till
- Dealing with payment for the cards and goods
- Restocking the card boxes
- Keeping the card boxes and the Christmas goods tidy
Many volunteers enjoy it so much that they come back to help
year after year.
Where are the shops?
Cards for Good Causes operates over 300 shops throughout the UK
each Christmas. The shops are located in all kinds of places,
including churches, museums, and community centres.
Each shop sells cards for its 25 member charities, as well as
other charities.
You can find your
nearest shop on the CFGC website.
