Our South West regional team provides
a range of support and information services for people with
Parkinson's, health and social care professionals, carers, and
individuals or groups who may want to volunteer or support our
work.

Information and support
Our information and support workers
(ISWs) provide one-to-one information and support to people with
Parkinson's, their families and carers. This may include benefits
advice, emotional support and links to local and other
services.

Our information and support manager is responsible for the
provision of information and support to people with Parkinson's,
their families and those involved in providing care locally. She
manages our information and support workers, builds and develops
networks with other organisations that can help and organises
information events across the region.
Branch and volunteer support
We have over 40 local groups in the South West,
providing a local network of support for people with Parkinson's.
Groups meet regularly and hold regular events including social
activities, fundraising events, exercise classes and more. Our
branch and volunteer support officers can put you in touch with
groups in your area.

Our branch and volunteer support officer provides support
to local groups, and can help set up new groups and build links
with other groups and national office. They also look
after local group volunteers.
Training for health and social care professionals
Our education and training officer delivers courses for health and social care
professionals who work with people with Parkinson's in the

Fundraising
Our regional fundraiser offers advice and support to anyone
in the South West interested in raising money for us. She
works with local groups, members, local companies, trusts and
individual supporters to help them with their fundraising

improve local services
We are working to encourage real changes and improvements in how
the NHS and social care services work with people living with
Parkinson's.

officer works with local health and social care organisations
to help them build services that better meet the needs of people
