David scales new heights
Snow, rain and hail were among the weather
conditions David Richards had to endure while completing a charity
trek to Machu Picchu in mountainous Peru.
"But it was worth it," said David, chair of the Folkestone and Dover branch.
When David first decided to trek 26 mountainous miles to the
ancient Inca site, he hoped he would raise around £5,000.
But he has actually raised £10,000, and he has thanked all his
sponsors and fundraisers for their support. David celebrated
his 73rd birthday a few weeks before he went on the journey
and was among a group of 24 people, with two guides. Well done
David, a fantastic achievement.
