Parkinson's Awareness Week 2012 events
Research and community information day -
Staffordshire

The Pavillion at Branston Golf and Country Club, Burton Road,
Branston, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire DE14 3DP - view map
Join us and learn more about the most up-to-date developments
and progress
in the treatment and cure of Parkinson's. This is event is for anyone
affected by Parkinson's. The day will feature:
- 2 speakers
- 2 afternoon workshops
- a chance to speak with the local Parkinson's nurse and other healthcare
professionals
- various community agencies will be present
- opportunities to network and collect valuable information
Seats are limited, so it's essential to register before
the event. Complimentary refreshments and lunch will be
served. Free parking is available at the venue.

Stafford Castle Walk - 20 May 2012
Following the success of the 2011
Stafford Castle Walk, which saw 100 particpants raise over
£5,000 for charity, the walk will return for a third
year on 20 May 2012.
With a selection of route lengths to suit all abilities, join us
for a day of fun. The walk starts and finishes at Stafford
Rugby Club.

Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon - 7 July 2012
A unique linear half marathon along Black Country canal
towpaths.
This unique event takes place along a canal towpath starting at
the British Waterways Canal Dock in Wolverhampton and finishing at
Brindley Place in Birmingham.

Bupa Great Birmingham Run - 21 October 2012
Formerly the Birmingham Half Marathon, this is the latest race
to join the Great Runs series - the biggest mass participation
running programme in the world!
