Tunbridge Wells and District Branch
We offer information, friendship and support to local people
with Parkinson's, their families and carers. Our branch covers the
areas of Tonbridge, Crowborough, Wadhurst, Mayfield and surrounding
districts.
We also have a Working Age Group,
which meets informally once a month.
We organise regular events and social activities. Join us - and
meet other people affected by Parkinson's in your
area. Support and activities available include:
- a strong programme of events with speakers, demonstrations and
opportunities to talk and make friends. We also hold regular
meetings specifically for carers.
- four major events during the year - our AGM, an annual outing,
raspberry tea and the Christmas tea
- A specialist Parkinson's nurse, who works
in the Neurology Department at the Kent and Sussex Hospital.
There's also a Parkinson's Liaison Nurse working in the Department
of Medicine for the Elderly at Pembury Hospital.
