Courses for people with Parkinson's and carers
Many organisations offer self care and self management courses to
support people living with a long-term condition such as
Parkinson's disease and their carers. Courses are available across
the UK.
Education and training for health and
social care professionals is also available across the UK.
Courses for people with Parkinson's
Self management and self care courses or programmes aim to increase
the confidence of people living with Parkinson's and help them take
more control of their own condition.
Courses
for carers
Courses for carers explore the practical and emotional issues of
daily life, offering opportunities for learning new skills and
meeting other carers. They enable carers to think about their own
needs, health and wellbeing.
This is not an exhaustive list. If you know of other courses that
could be included, contact Daiga Heisters, National Education
Advisor, on 020 7932 1355 or professionals@parkinsons.org.uk
