Branch and support group resources
If you're involved in volunteering for one of our local groups, here are some of the documents and
resources that you'll need to ensure the smooth running of your
group.
Branch Manual
For any questions about these resources, contact your Parkinson's UK branch and volunteer support officer who'll be happy to help.
The Branch Manual is designed to provide clear guidance on
setting up and running a successful branch.
The manual is aimed at committee members of existing
branches, or those wishing to begin the process of setting up a new
branch.
Branch Guidelines
The Branch Guidelines provide more detail on topics covered in
the manual, including setting up a branch, running your committee,
promotion, financial and legislative requirements, fundraising and
legislative requirements and more.
Branch Rules
The Branch Rules document is designed to help branches operate
consistently and in accordance with statutory requirements. The
rules exist to protect the organisation, our charitable interest
and our members.
Support Group Rules
The Support Group Rules outline statutory requirements for
operation of a support group.

want to update their information on our website
Remember that the website is often the first contact with
Parkinson's UK for people affected by Parkinson's.
So it's really important to make sure that details for your
group are up to date.

Risk assessment forms for local groups
These risk assessment forms are designed to help branches and
support groups risk assess an activity, identify and deal with
potential hazards which could cause harm.
If you have any questions or concerns about risk assessments or
insurance matters relating to your group, please contact our
Facilities Manager, Peter Moore on 020 7932 1302 or email pmoore@parkinsons.org.uk
