BSc specialist practice in health and social care - distance
learning module
We're pleased to announce - with Birmingham City
University - a new Level 6, distance learning, web-based module in
specialist practice, starting in April 2012.
Who's the course for?
We invite applications from health and social care professionals working, or who anticipate working, at specialist level.
The module is aimed at all health and social care professionals
wanting to explore and develop their role within specialist
practice.
Course dates
2 April 2012 - 23 July 2012 (including a break at Easter)
Course description
This is a distance learning module, using clinical
examples of the management of Parkinson's.
This module should enable you to develop the competence and
confidence to positively deal with many aspects of your specialist
role.
And it will help to support you as you work within a dynamic and
challenging healthcare agenda.
Areas covered
All the clinical examples used in this module will be in the management of Parkinson's.
- What is specialist practice?
- Identifying and applying evidence-based practice
- Personal and professional development
- Auditing practice, measuring effectiveness and sharing good
practice
- Working in a specialist role
- Changing practice
- Planning educational and professional goals
- Implications of national policy on the specialist role
This course is distance learning only. You will not need to
attend the university.
