A number of UK universities run courses or modules for health
and social care professionals in aspects of Parkinson's.
A postgraduate distance learning course run by Leeds
Metropolitan University for health and social care professionals
working with people with Parkinson's
A distance-learning module at Newcastle University focusing on
the rehabilitation of Parkinson's and other movement disorders. It
forms part of the Masters of Clinical Research programme or can be
taken as a stand-alone paper.
A multi-disciplinary course run Swansea University focusing on
managing chronic conditions, suitable for a wide range of health
professionals and carers of people with chronic conditions
A Swansea University module forming part of a nursing
degree/diploma - or a 'stand alone' module for nurses,
physiotherapists and occupational therapists caring for people with
Parkinson's
The MSc Clinical Neuropsychiatry at the University of Birmingham
aims to advance the theory and practical knowledge of experienced
professionals working with people with neuropsychiatric
disorders.
An open learning course for pharmacists and pharmacy
technicians, run by the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education
(CPPE) at the University of Manchester
A Level 6, distance learning module in specialist practice,
starting in April 2012 - with Birmingham City University. It will
use clinical examples of the management of Parkinson's.
