Walk for Parkinson's - Gunby Hall 2018
Join us for our Walk for Parkinson's at the tranquil National Trust Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens.
Join us in the grounds of the National Trust’s tranquil Gunby Hall in Eastern Lincolnshire. You can choose a gentle 1.5 mile stroll along to Gunby’s Ice House Pond or head out of the grounds for our mid length walk around the surrounding countryside, or choose our 8 mile walk from Gunby Hall to Monksthorpe Chapel, which you are encouraged to look around.
What you'll receive
Take part in a Walk for Parkinson’s in 2018 and help raise vital funds for people affected by Parkinson’s. Every step will take us closer to a cure.
All our walkers will receive the best support from us, including:
- A Walk for Parkinson's T-shirt
- Fundraising advice, including a fundraising pack
- Support with your training
- A finisher's medal
Parking: There is free parking for all participants.
Dogs: Dogs on leads are welcome.
Accessibility: Please note that all routes take place on both paths and grassy areas, which makes them unsuitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
Due to the historic nature of the house and grounds, some areas might not be fully accessible to all visitors. You can use the Gunby wheelchair or wheeled walker (with seat) to go around the ground floor of the house.
There are steps and stairs in the house, but we have modern chairs available in most rooms as a rest point. The gardens are mostly accessible to all visitors, with only small changes in level, but there are some narrow paths and gateways. Please ask to speak to the team if you have any accessibility queries.
Walk packs: which include your walk T-shirt and number will be sent out 2 weeks prior to the walk.
Registration: Please note registration closes one week prior to the event. On-the-day registration will be available but will be cash only and will cost £15 for adults and £7.50 for under 16s
If you have any questions regarding this walk please phone 020 7963 3912 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
