Christmas Carol Concert 2009
On Wednesday 9 December, 800 guests joined us for a wonderful
celebration of the festive season, in the presence of HRH The
Duchess of Gloucester GCVO.
The evening was hosted by BBC News Presenter Jane Hill and
featured performances from the Wessex Male Choir, Crystal Palace
Band and the inspirational Sing for Joy, a choir for people with
Parkinson's and other conditions.
Richard Briers, Bill Neely and Roddy Lee entertained us with
readings and world-class soprano Elin Manahan Thomas gave a
spellbinding performance.
The concert was followed by a mulled wine and mince pie
reception and the chance to meet some of our readers and
performers.
