Your Personal Best: staying active with a long-term condition

We're supporting Your Personal Best - a campaign to encourage over 55s with a long-term condition, such as Parkinson's, to keep active.

This could be exercising or simple activities like walking the dog, doing some gardening or even running the hoover around the house. It all counts!

Keeping active

We know that keeping active can be a challenge when you have Parkinson's.

But simple activities like walking the dog, gardening or even hoovering all count.

Your Personal Best is Inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The campaign encourages people to set personal and realistic activity goals in order to lead a more active lifestyle and help them achieve their personal best.

We know that keeping active can be a challenge when you have Parkinson's but it can help to maintain movement abilities, strengthen muscles and build up general health and fitness.

Speak to your healthcare professional about working out a programme of exercise that’s right for you.
