Staying safe in the heat
1 July 2009
Some people with Parkinson's can find it difficult to control their
body temperature, so during this hot weather it is
important to try to keep as cool as possible.
Some people may find that their Parkinson's symptoms may become
slightly exacerbated. Thin cotton clothes, regular cool showers or
washes can help. It is important to drink more fluid to avoid
dehydration.
If you have any worries or concerns you can contact our Helpline on 0808 800 0303, NHS Direct on 0845 46
47 or your GP.
