Have your say on how we influence the Government

7 October 2009

The Parkinson's Disease Society is calling on all people affected by Parkinson's to complete an online survey to help influence how the future government addresses your concerns and issues.

If you were stuck in a lift with the leaders of the main political parties, what 3 actions would you tell them to take to improve the lives of people with Parkinson's?

If you were stuck in a lift with the leaders of the main political parties, what 3 actions would you tell them to take to improve the lives of people with Parkinson's?

Our online election manifesto survey offers you the chance to answer this question and to help shape the Parkinson's Disease Society's election manifesto.

The deadline for receipt of completed surveys is 31 October 2009.

The survey only takes a few minutes to complete but it is vital that as many people as possible take part in the consultation as possible.

Our election manifesto

The Parkinson's Disease Society's 2010 election manifesto will be published in the run up to the forthcoming UK General Election.

This manifesto will outline our top priorities on what politicians should be doing to ensure that all those affected by Parkinson's get a fair deal.

We will use our manifesto to lobby political parties and candidates to ensure that the concerns of people with Parkinson's are firmly placed on the political agenda. It will also help shape the policies being proposed by leading political figures.

With the UK general election due to be held by June 2010, we want to make sure that the future government listen to the voices of all of those affected by Parkinson's.
