Bring a Phone to Work Day

11 January 2010

Recycle your old mobile phone on National Bring a Phone to Work Day this Wednesday 13 January and raise money for the Parkinson's Disease Society.

Every penny raised will help us find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's.

Steve Ford, Chief Executive

How to take part

Getting involved is easy.

  • Register now with the collection company, Redeem, nominating the Parkinson's Disease Society as your chosen charity.

  • Ask all your colleagues to dig out their old mobile phones and bring them into work for you on Wednesday.

  • Send all phones to Redeem who will take care of the rest.

Or you can register by contacting Yvonne Crainie at Redeem: 08451 30 20 10, extension 708. Email: Yvonne@redeemplc.com

There are an estimated 90 million unused mobiles lying in people's drawers across the UK and an average phone will generate £3.50 for us.

Redeem also recycles iPods, MP3 players, digital cameras, sat navs and inkjet and toner cartridges.

Steve Ford, Parkinson's Disease Society Chief Executive comments:
