Congratulations to Bath Half Marathon team
8 March 2010
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 7 March to raise
vital funds for the Parkinson's Disease Society.
Our 70 strong team of runners will raise around £25,000 towards
our work to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by
Parkinson's.
Kevin Carter, team member and an information and support worker (ISW) for the
charity in the South West, said:
"This was a great opportunity to show that ISWs often go the
extra mile to support people affected by Parkinson's. I hope the
event has helped to raise awareness of the service we offer and the
charity as a whole."
The dedication of our fundraisers really makes a difference to the work we do.

Paul Jackson-Clark, Fundraising Director at the charity,
said:
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who ran in our
team and to those who helped cheer our team on.
“We are totally dependent on voluntary donations, so it is the
dedication of our fundraisers that really makes a difference to the
work we do for people with Parkinson’s.”
