World Parkinson Congress comes to the UK in 2010

The World Parkinson Congress is coming to the UK in
2010 and this is your chance to get involved.
The Parkinson's Disease Society is one of 5 leading sponsors of
the World Parkinson Congress. It is only the second congress of its
kind and is open to anyone touched by Parkinson's.
The event, to be held in Glasgow from 28 September to 1
October 2010, will be an international forum for the latest
scientific discoveries, medical practices and carers' initiatives
related to Parkinson's.
Who can attend?
This is only the second congress of its kind and is open to anyone touched by Parkinson's.
The World Parkinson Congress will showcase the latest
developments in the world of Parkinson's and bring together the
global Parkinson's community.
Neurologists, scientists, health professionals, carers and
people with Parkinson's will gather in one place to share
knowledge, exchange resources and develop partnerships to identify
the best treatments and to ultimately find a cure for
Parkinson's.
What will happen at the Congress?
The congress will feature an extensive programme of
presentations, seminars and workshops.
There will be discussions devoted to best treatment options,
quality of life and care provision, and the latest scientific
research from around the world.
Delegates will learn about helpful therapies, clinical trials,
and valuable coping strategies, along with opportunities to discuss
workplace and insurance issues, advocacy, and the economics of
family care.
