Congratulations to our London Marathon runners
26 April 2010
Congratulations to our 212-strong team who ran the Virgin London
Marathon yesterday.
I'm thrilled to have been a part of the Parkinson's UK team. It was an amazing experience.
This year we had our largest ever team of runners and it was the
perfect finish to this year's Parkinson’s
Awareness Week
An amazing experience
Sarah Stanhope, 41, from Bromsgrove, ran the marathon in just
over 4 hours. Sarah's mother and grandmother have Parkinson's and
she has raised over £3,500.
Sarah said: "I'm thrilled to have been a part of the Parkinson’s
UK team.
"It was an amazing experience and the support of the crowds was
brilliant."

This year our London Marathon team are aiming to smash last
year’s total of £260,000.
Our work is totally dependent on donations. All the money raised
will go towards helping us find a cure and improving life for
everyone affected by Parkinson's.
Thanks to everyone who took part
Paul Jackson-Clark, our Director of Fundraising, comments:
"We're extremely grateful to everyone who took part in the
London Marathon on Sunday and for all their fundraising
efforts.
"It was a fantastic day and I also would like to thank everyone
who came along to cheer the team along."
Actor Ben Hull completed the
race for us in an amazing 4 hours and 35 minutues.
