Steve Ford is new chair of Neurological Alliance
7 June 2011
Our chief executive, Steve
Ford (pictured right), has been appointed as the new chair
of the Neurological Alliance.
This is a group of over 50 charities in England, including
Parkinson's UK, which campaigns for better services for people with
neurological conditions.
As chair, Steve will be supporting the new chief executive of
the Neurological Alliance, Arlene Wilkie, to drive forward the aims
of the alliance.
Steve will work with other trustees to build strong
partnerships and leadership and strengthen the voice of people
living with neurological conditions.
Moving towards high-quality neurological services
Steve comments on his appointment:
"I am honoured to take on this role and am looking forward to
supporting the alliance's vision of making sure every person with a
neurological condition, including Parkinson's, has access to high quality, joined
up services and good information - from their first symptoms,
throughout their life.
"I hope that my involvement with the alliance will also help
Parkinson's UK move a step closer to improving the lives of
everyone with the condition and making sure that no one has to face
Parkinson's alone."
