Period costumes are the order of the day at Run Highclere

Highclere Castle1 March 2012

Period costumes are the order of the day at our Downton Abbey run on Sunday 29 April.

Run Highclere, our brand new 10K and kids' fun run, takes place in the beautiful grounds of Highclere Castle - home of the award-winning ITV series.

Fun while you run

Get into the spirit of the day by running in period costume, dress up as your favourite Downton Abbey character, or become a Lord or Lady for the day!

Budding Carsons and Lady Marys are welcome to join in the fun, to help us find a cure for Parkinson's. They'll also be a prize for the best costume.

Help us to improve the lives of those living with Parkinson's

It would be great to see our runners dressed in period costume, which will add a sense of fun to the occasion!

Clare Chater, our Head of Events, said:

"Taking part in Run Highclere is a fantastic way to keep fit and raise valuable funds for us at the same time.

"It would be great to see our runners dressed in period costume, which will add a sense of fun to the occasion!

"Without the help and support of our fundraisers, our vital work to find a cure and improve the lives of those living with Parkinson's would not be possible."

Run Highclere is a flat road run and is licensed by UK Athletics (UKA). All of our runners will receive their own official race finish time - which is recorded using chip technology - an exclusive souvenir t-shirt and a finisher's medal.
