Pat is running to help raise awareness of Parkinson's

Pat Tennant, 72, from Reading will be running to help her 2 friends who have Parkinson's.

Pat said: "One of my good friends was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and another was diagnosed 17 years ago.

"I'm taking part in Run Highclere to raise awareness of Parkinson's, and to collect as much money as I can to help people who are affected by the condition."

Help us raise funds to find a cure

Clare Chater, our head of events, said:

"Taking part in Run Highclere is a fantastic way to keep fit and raise valuable funds for us at the same time.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the picturesque grounds of Highclere Castle, and I hope our runners will have a day to remember.

"Our work is totally dependent on donations. Without the help and support of our fundraisers, our vital work to find a cure and improve the lives of those living with Parkinson's would not be possible."

Run Highclere is a flat road run and is licensed by UK Athletics (UKA). All of our runners will receive their own official race finish time - which is recorded using chip technology - an exclusive souvenir t-shirt and a finisher's medal.

There's no minimum sponsorship required to take part, but we're asking runners to aim to raise £100.
