Winter issue of Progress, our Parkinson's research magazine, out
now
1 February 2013
The winter 2012/13 issue of Progress, our Parkinson's research magazine, is
now available to download or order.
As always, Progress is jam-packed with all the latest
Parkinson's research news.
All Parkinson's UK members will receive a copy of Progress from
today, together with the latest issue of The
Parkinson, our membership magazine.
Healthy body, healthy brain
Often in research our focus is on new drugs and treatments, but
in this issue we're taking a look at the role lifestyle and
environment has to play in Parkinson's.
Can making subtle changes to day-to-day life help to manage
certain symptoms or even slow the course of the condition?
We explore whether making changes to diet, exercise and other
aspects of daily life can really make a difference to people with
Parkinson's and what the current research tells us.
Over to you...
This
issue of Progress is also packed with stories, news and views on
research from people living with Parkinson's:
- Sheila Roy takes us inside a groundbreaking gene therapy
clinical trial
- Wesley Carr shares his experiences as a research volunteer
- And our supporters report from a recent visit to the Parkinson's UK
Brain Bank
