Summer issue of Progress, our Parkinson's research magazine, out
now
25 July 2012
The summer 2012 issue of Progress, our Parkinson's research magazine, is
now available to download or order.
As always, Progress is jam-packed with all the latest
Parkinson's research news.
All Parkinson's UK members will receive a copy of Progress this
week, together with the latest issue of The Parkinson, our membership magazine.
New treatments - what's in the pipeline for Parkinson's?
In this issue we take a peek inside the pipeline at what new
drugs and treatments are currently being developed and tested for
people with Parkinson's.
We explain how the clinical trials process works and
discuss a whole range of potential treatments that are currently
being investigated.
This includes stem cells, gene therapies and new drugs.
Shaped by your comments, ideas and suggestions
This issue of Progress has really been shaped by the feedback we
received in response to the last issue.
85% of people told us they find Progress very interesting.
And 71% of people find the magazine easy to read.
We were delighted that so many people took the time to fill in
an online survey to share their thoughts on the magazine and what
they'd like to see in the future.
And the influence of this runs right through the latest issue of
the magazine, including:
- a new international research news round-up
- our feature article - 'a peek inside the pipeline'
- a selection of our favourite letters and comments
And we put your brain donation questions to Dr David Dexter from
the Parkinson's UK Brain Bank.
Please keep your feedback coming
We'd love to know what you think of the new issue of Progress,
and to hear your questions, ideas and suggestions for the next
magazine.
