Parkinson's UK Together events for local group members

16 February 2011

During the week of 7 March our local branch and support group members are invited to attend one of 7 Parkinson's UK Together events, being held throughout the UK.

What are Parkinson's UK Together events?

This is an opportunity for local group members to unite, share successes, and shape our plans for the future.

Steve Ford, Chief Executive

The events are a great opportunity for our local groups to find out more about what we do locally, nationally and UK-wide. And also a good chance to share news and information with others, in the run-up to Parkinson's Awareness Week in April.

Steve Ford, our Chief Executive comments:

"Since we became Parkinson's UK last year, we have worked even harder to bring everybody involved in the charity together.

"This will be a further opportunity to unite, share successes, and shape our plans for the future."

Where are they happening?

Parkinson's UK Together events will take place in:

  • Cookstown and Glasgow on Monday 7 March
  • Bristol on Tuesday 8 March
  • Llandrindod Wells on Wednesday 9 March
  • Leeds on Thursday 10 March
  • London and Coventry on Friday 11 March

For all events, the day will start at 11am and finish by 4pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Who can attend?

If you're a member of a local group, you can attend any of the venues - so it's an opportunity to meet colleagues from other groups as well as some of our members of staff.

Places are limited to 3 per local group. Places must be booked by Monday 21 February.
