2010 Parkinson's Audit: Help us improve Parkinson's services around
the UK
28 June 2010
We’re calling for geriatricians, neurologists and Parkinson’s
nurses to help us improve services by taking part in our 2010 Parkinson's Audit
The 2010 Parkinson's Audit will help us see how Parkinson's services around the country measure up.
Dr Kieran Breen, Director of Research
Working together we will assess services and treatment for
people with Parkinson's who visit centres taking part in our audit
between July and November this year.
Registration for taking part closes on Monday 5
July 2010.
Making a difference to people with Parkinson's
45 centres across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
took part in our 2009 Audit.
We're using the 2009
results to campaign for equal access to vital services like
Parkinson's nurses and deep brain stimulation.
And we want to make an even bigger impact in 2010.
Dr Kieran Breen, our Director of Research, comments:
"The 2010 Parkinson’s Audit will help us see how Parkinson's
services around the country measure up. We'll identify where things
are working well and where things need to improve."
How people with Parkinson's can help
If you're seeing your neurologist, geriatrician or Parkinson’s
nurse this week, please ask them to take part.
