The Hardest Hit: the easiest targets

A big thank you to everyone affected by Parkinson's who came out on a chilly October
morning, as part of the Hardest Hit rallies and
marches that took place across the UK on Saturday 22 October
2011.
The message to government was that people with disabilities
and conditions such as Parkinson's are being unfairly targeted by
the coalition government's cuts programme.

Around 5,000 people came out at rallies and marches across the
UK to show government just how unfair these cuts are, and just
under 100 individuals and members of groups across the UK made a
visible noise and presence.

People's Group, was interviewed by the Bristol Evening Post and
our Scotland Campaigns Officer, Tanith Muller, was interviewed for
BBC Scotland.

It's a disgrace the most vulnerable people in the UK are being hit by government cuts.

Even if you couldn't make the events, there is still lots you
can do.
The Welfare Reform Bill, which contains some of the most savage
cuts to disability benefits, is at a crucial stage over the next
two months.
It's important MPs and the media hear about the concerns so the
Hardest Hit have developed templates to help you speak out about
the effects of these cuts on people with Parkinson's.
