Pharmacists are invited to attend our 14th annual conference for professionals – Recent advances in clinical management.

See below for details.

26 April 2012

At the close of Parkinson's Awareness Week one of our Trustees, Alun Morgan, and Sarah Williams, our Health Policy and Campaigns Officer, were invited to speak at the Clinical Pharmacy Congress in London.

Parkinson's UK was the charity partner of the 2012 Congress.

Get it on time

Sarah and Alun spoke about our Get It On Time campaign, including the support offered by Parkinson's UK to pharmacists and people with Parkinson's.

Alun spoke about his own experiences with medicines management, including his tips for making sure he takes his medication on time, which included using a pill-box and a reminder on his iPhone.

Alun and Sarah also spoke about our campaign to raise awareness of impulsive and compulsive behaviour and how pharmacists can get involved.

Annual Parkinson's conference

Pharmacists are also invited to attend our 14th annual conference for professionals – Recent advances in clinical management.

There are still places available for the event which takes place on Monday 9 July 2012 at London's CBI Conference Centre, on the first floor of Centre Point Tower. Our Head of Professional Engagement and Education, Daiga Heisters, is chairing the event.

It will bring together leading experts in Parkinson's to discuss the latest developments in the condition and share tips and advice on the practical management of Parkinson's.

Who can attend?

The conference is organised by MA Healthcare Ltd, in association with Parkinson's UK, and is ideal for all health and social care professionals involved in the management or treatment of Parkinson's.
