Our Parkinson's Brain Donor Appeal wins international award

We're delighted that our
Parkinson's Brain Donor Appeal has won an award from the
prestigious International Public Relations
Association (IPRA), in their 2010 Golden World Awards for
Excellence in PR.
Going global takes awareness of the importance of brain donation to a worldwide audience.

The Brain Donor Appeal, launched during Parkinson's Awareness Week 2009, won in the
Best Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Campaign category.
The International Public Relations Association is an
organisation for those working in public relations and has members
from over 100 countries.
Competition for the 2010 awards was fierce, with 110 finalists
selected from 352 entries. 42 countries entered.
Taking awareness of brain donation to a worldwide audience
Steve Ford, our Chief Executive, comments:
"It’s wonderful to have won this international award, to add to
the PR Week and Third Sector Excellence awards which we’ve won
in the UK.

The award ceremony will take place in London on Friday 5
November 2010.
