Campaign for free prescriptions
In September 2008 Gordon Brown promised to abolish prescription
charges for people with long-term conditions in England, something
we've been calling for for many years. We're still waiting for
this to happen.
If you want to see free prescriptions for people with
Parkinson's, please support the Prescription Promise
Campaign. We've joined forces with other charities to campaign
on this issue.
Over 200 people called Gordon Brown on 1 February 2010, asking
him to take urgent action to make free prescriptions a reality.

How you can help
Email or write to your MP
Email your MP, ask them to sign a parliamentary motion in
support of free prescriptions for people with long-term
conditions.
You can write to your MP if you'd prefer. Find your MP on the UK
Parliament website.
Share your story
If paying for prescriptions has been hard for you financially,
and you'd be willing to share your story with the media, contact us
on pr@parkinsons.org.uk
Support the Twitter campaign
All charities involved in the campaign are asking their Twitter
followers to insert the hashtag #prescriptionpromise in their
tweets. Help us spread awareness of the campaign - and ask your
